Roberto Martinez's second Spanish signing this summer along with Guillem Bauza. Angel is a right sided full back, although we are told that he can play anywhere across the back four, and will certainly provide competition for both Kevin Amankwah and Alan Tate, and has certainly impressed at right back during the pre season friendlies.

At the time of his arrival, it looked as if Angel was part of a religious theme by the gaffer, along with Kristian O'Leary and Garry Monk, although Pawel Abbott has now left the club.
