What’s It Like
You should exercise caution around the ground and the car parks as Leeds is not the friendliest place to visit, having experienced this at first hand. Away fans are in the South East corner of the South Stand at one end of the ground. Facilities within are fairly basic, the leg room is sparse. Be on your best behaviour as fans are often ejected, without warning for swearing. An allocation of 1710 tickets are £24 (£22), £12 (£10) for under 16’s & £17 (£15) for senior citizens. The bracketed prices are for restricted view seats. More tickets can be made available.

Pubs and Grub
‘The Old Peacock’ is a home fans pub which should be avoided. A few doors from this is the United Fisheries chippy (LS11 8TU), which is always busy on match-days. A good bet for a pint is the ‘The Drysalters’ (LS11 8AX), a ten minute walk from the ground. Home and away fans mix, good priced real ale and large screen Sky TV. Otherwise alcohol is served within the ground. There’s a McDonalds across the road from the East Stand. Inside the ground pies and the usual football fare is available.
More Time in Leeds?

The compact city centre is easy to explore, and boasts architecture like the Leeds Town Hall, and the Victoria Quarter. The attractions offer something for everyone, with entertainment, sport, theatre and heritage alongside world-class museums and galleries such as the Royal Armouries museum, Leeds Art Gallery and Leeds City Museum. Most of the attractions are free, so you can enjoy the day without it costing a fortune. www.visitleeds.co.uk/

Directions, Parking
and Train
Elland Road is well signposted and is right by the M621. Follow the Motorway M1 and then from junction 43 onto the M621. You pass the ground, then take the next exit off the M621 and turn left onto the A6110 ring road. Take the next left onto Elland Road for the ground. A couple of very large car parks charge £5 with traffic coming out of the car parks clearing quickly after the game. Park in car park A for a quick exit. By Train: Leeds train station is a 35 minute walk from the station. A taxi or a bus (£2.50 return), that run from outside the station is best. As you come out of the station main entrance, cross the road and take the stairs down to the street below. Turn right and cross the road and you will see the double-decker buses lined up. The first bus in the queue sells the tickets for all the other buses. The buses drop off and pick up at the corner of the North and East stands.
