Happy new year to all jacks. Let's start the year with 3 points.
I'm hoping the new year brings a new era in Swansea City's history where we march onwards and upwards. I also hope that the halfwits who suddenly appear after a defeat screaming for Jackett's blood are less likely to appear. That also means more wins for the Swans as they've only really appeared in force 3 times since the beginning of October 2006. |
...and let me be the first in 2007 to say -DKJ out.
Just remember its the season of good will to ALL men and what your doing at midnight is what youll do all year!
I'll be remembering the good times, with a drink in one hand and a handful of woman in the other! God Bless you all! |

Happy new year to you all from the Isle of Sheppey -yes even you Kenny.

I write this half full of gin but a couple of thoughts. Some posters compare how bad Jackets half time team talk must be,compared with the job saysomeone like Jacksons must have been.Surely if someone is sent off they can have no further part in the game,so how can a manager sent off in the first half be allowed to give a rousing half time teamtalk and influence the outcome of a game?Am I wrong somewhere?I feel certain someone will correct me if so anyhows HNY all jacks everywhere and I will have the vid camera with me tomorrow for if anything exciting happens.

the problem now is what are we going to do for strikers? since leons nearly gone and trundle suspended we are a bit struggling on that area we havent got anyone with real speed as a sreiker unless kenny can pull one out of the bag before tomorrow (highly doubtful)! and chris jones isnt a really good reliability @ 17 so try and talk yourself out of this one jackett :S

It's only now I've been able to face this guestbook after yesterday.
In all my day's of supporting the swans(and there's been many)I've never been so dissapointed at the end of a game than I was yesterday, and that includes Wembley and the Millenium stadium. I couldn't really bring myself to read the usual negative comments by people who hadn't attended the match and it proved right. I was just about to top myself when I came across RoW's posting and he took the words out of my mouth. It's nice to know there are still positives out there. Anyway back to business tomorrow and lets hope we can shut the boo boys up again(especially the ones who don't go to the matches). Oh and by the way Jackett in. |

Considering that if you went to a Grammar school, then read what I wrote. I said that I had listened to the same game that you had watched and that "others" had said that we had been on top for 65 - 70 miutes |

HELLO SWANSEA LASS HAVE YOU BEEN IN A CONVENT ALL SEASON, NO I HAVENT BEEN CHOCKIN THE CHICKEN

ken marklove you've been choking the chicken to much and you're eye sight has gone!

Colin...I would love to know what happened none of those I have spoken to and were there saw anything.
I accepet a balanced judgement is fair enough but unless the ref has video evidence to back his claim up I'd appeal. Anyway I'm off for a few lemonades now |
I'd sack the fans instead of K.J. - still carping about the usual stuff - pure ignorance as ever.
Trundles sending off should be appealed, sad to think he could be missing. No-one seems to have seen anything - but there must be some video evidence surely anyhow onwards and upwards and for gawd's sake bring back Izzy |
Ken Marklove
Which game did you watch???? To be fair to you, it was the same game that I listened to. How can some think that we were on top for 65- 70 minutes, I don't know. Even Jackett admitted they had us by the throat in the second half. |
WELL WE DID AGAIN, STARTED OFF GREAT AND F****K UP AGAIN

Re: the oracle (33007)
I can't agree with your predictions I'm afraid. This club has had 11 different managers in the last 11 years and every time we've changed manager we've had a huge slump followed by months of depression and a period of rebuilding. The 'honeymoon period' just doesn't happen at Swansea City. If we change manager before the end of the season (which won't happen unless results get a lot worse) then there's no way we'll be in the play-offs. |
I know I will get criticism for forming opinions just from goal highlights but...
Butler did well for both goals. Much as I have defended robbo over the years, Butler should get another start IF he played well to send the right message to the squad as a whole. Lawrence weak again for their first goal. Painter pen very harsh - did nt seem to use arms or legs on the guy. Lastly in respose to Phil Brynmill I would imagine that KJ is basing whether or not to appeal on what the ref told him later as he said he did not see it. I would dearly love to think he spoke to the ref. You cannot be certain as when Swansea Sound interviewed him about 10-15 mins after final whistle he said he had still not talked to Trundle. This amazes me. Imagine you were the manager. I would be demanding Trundle's version of events within a minute of the final whistle. Would n't you? |

I would guess that any shareholder of any company unless disqualified is eligble to be voted appointed/voted on as a director.
HJ of course is chairman despite being only a minority shareholder. Presumably one must be able to buy shares first though. |
re jeff"why are the welsh so small"
we decend from the celts.not you anglo's who are german decent.zieg hail! |
TBFS.
Does that mean that Hadyn has got his information wrong? i.e Jenkins is touting for new Directors in exchange for 100,000. Wouldnt think it is his place to do so anyway. |
Of course I'll enlighten you Colin.
"Presumably this why the club faced serious cash flow problems with the wages due, last Feb then was it?" There you go! Unfortunately I am unable too, and wouldn't, divulge any matters that could be construed as confidential or sensitive in a business sense to Swansea City or the Trust. The above has been common knowledge since early last year before any involvement with the Trust as was HJs failure to hand over the Trust subscriptions which I heavily criticised at the time. Thankfully these monies have now been handed over. I will therefore only comment on matters that were/are common knowledge to the general fanbase before or since any Trust involvement. I also reserve the right to express my own opinion on general matters as I have always done and will continue to do so in the future. These opinions should in no way be associated with the policies and views of the Trust. It is already in the public domain that at present any new shareholdings have to be approved by 75% of existing shareholders, so I guess that, in effect rules out new shareholders unless there is general agreement to their input until such time as existing agreements are altered. |

jeff rom up north.i'd rather be in our position than yours
Mark Arnold, no i am not kidding bout Garry Monk being our best centre back. Who else is there. Dennis Lawrence?Kevin Austin? Steve Watt? I suppose that Izzy is on a par with Monk, but you can't seriously tell me that we have any other centre backs better than him. Who would you put at centre back? Come on, if you don't think that Monk should be in the starting 11, who should?
Such insults, I'm in tears. Have to console myself with 3 stolen points.
Nice to see you all in such unity going into 2007. There's lovely P.S. Why are the Welsh so small? |
Hadyn.
Funny that we all hear different things. I was talking to someone who has a fair cash stash and had made enquiries as to whether she could invest in the club. She was told quite categorically that it is a closed shop and that only current shareholders can buy more shares. Perhaps the trust can can shine some light on this. The bully from sully is a trust board member and seems to have the inside track with regards to cashflows. Enlighten us dear chap |

George Boyd has signed for Peterborough for ?260K.
33022) Phil
If we appeal he will miss the Forest game. What is more important? |
Phil,
Maybe because he doesn't have a leg to stand on? (I don't know). Because it is better for him to miss two league games and the cup game than three league games. |
How long does it take for the board to meet(red card) we may have him back for brentford game this will give Jackett more time to work out the strikers without trundle
The Bully from Sully,
you appear to be privy to certain cash flow problems the club had last February. Why don't you enlighten us with your revelations. My opinion about Amankwaah is obviously different to yours, Surely that is what being a supporter is all about. I believe, and I have stated the fact that Leon Britton underachieves, and his final ball should be better that what it is. That is my opinion, and if ANY team is prepared to pay upwards of ?650K for him, then I would sell him, or any other player in the squad. |
Can anyone tell me why Jackett doesn't appeal Trundles red card?

MR X
dONT HALF MISS YOUR PERCEPTIVE ANALYSIS at away games. Haydn.Old Chap This aint your own personal forum and my comments were directed at Bully Sully whom surprisingly I HAVE MET . Apart from being intelligent, informed, cynical and mellifluous,he is good company. He lacks self confidence though so dont upset him |

Haydn,
I don't think any managers are different at any level of the professional game in as much as what cash they have to spend on players, and indeed, justifying their purchases. They will spend what they are allowed to spend. The difference being is that either the club can afford to give cash to a manager, or what Ridsdale did at Leeds and effectively nearly put them out of business. At any level the 'ego' plays a huge part, on and off the pitch. After all, managers rise and fall on their results. Unless of course in the Premiership this season, where Chairmen are absolutely 'pooping' themselves about getting caught in a relegation dogfight and missing out on the increase in cash being made available next season. Alan Knill has certainly impressed people this, and last season in the way he has got on with the situation he has found himself in at Rotherham, as has Russell Slade at Yeovil. It will be interesting to see how far they will go as managers in the future. You mentioned Cohen of Yeovil, and Cochrane and Woods of Rotherham as players who didn't cost a penny. Well, isn't this what being a manager is all about. The backroom staff he appoints, he trusts, all combine to make the club they are involved in a success, or a failure. Managers nowadays don't appear to be doing the groundwork the likes of Burrows made, and are quite happy to rely on agents supplying cd's on players. The one thing about Jackett that has been quite clear is that he has no network of contacts in the game, and has been unable to pick up any youngsters shown the door at other clubs, unlike most other sides, and has generally relied on the chequebook. He has brought an increase in professionalism at the football club, but to what extent he has complete control over player issues is something only time will tell. |
Dave, probably the same bloke who put it about in the crowd yesterday that the reason Britton wasn't there was that he was going to Preston in a 'done deal' for ?650k, and it had just been confirmed in a phone text message.

The Bully from Sully
You said "Presumably this why the club faced serious cash flow problems with the wages due, last Feb then was it?" I don't think it is much better now. A lot of supporters think we have a big stash of money in the Club, but why is Jenkins offering directorships to anyone that has ?100k to put into the Club |
One rumour I have heard form a good source is that Sheffield united are going to put in a ?750K offer for Britton in the transfer window. They have had him watched numerous times.

Lord Birkenhead
What the hell are you mummbling about?????? |

Trundle misses the next 3 games.
Suspensions for yellow cards take 7 days to kick in, for reds they start immediatly. |

if u get my drift lets sack this idiot before he does unrepairable damage!

when jackett bought darren way from yeovil how the hell in gods name did he pass his medical i have recently read john hartsons book and in it he tells of how many times his transfers have falle | ||||||||
