Re: The ballad of the flexible bullet
I remember reading a Stephen King book, I think it was "Skeleton Crew", where he referred to madness as the ballad of the flexible bullet.I cannot think of a better way to sum up some of the remarks of The Clownmaster Hollins in last night's Evening Post.Is it just me or is the guy both ripley and bullishly bonkers? The old chestnut about "one more win will do it for us "(copyright John Hollins),and there was a hint of "goals win matches"(copy right John Hollins)the smug word play of someone in complete delusion.

I genuinely think that in Hollinsville the feeling is that no one can dare question The ClownMaster on his great achievements this season. He really feels that he's done a great job!!

Well John, i don't think that you have.Look at the players you have had at your disposal;you couldn't cobble together a half decent team from that squad. Do the honourable thing now and leave. You need to do it for the sake of the Club and for your honour as a man.

On Tuesday night i looked at my son Greg watching his first ever game, and was overcome with emotion to think that by this time next year we either have ceased to exist or be relegated to non league. This future can be averted by getting rid of our Manager and Ninth Floor. ****THERE IS NO FATE BUT WHAT WE MAKE****

Re: 2 excellent articles
For those who have not seen them I can recommend 2 articles on the jackarmy.net site: "All The Reasons" by Keith Haynes and "The Fat Lady Gargles" by Bryan Evans. They deserve the widest possible audience. I suggested that they send them into the Evening Post, but I expect that the Post would not publish them.

Re: New Owners - A Warning
Such is the anger and frustration of the fans over the way that Hollins has led us back into the 3rd division, any prospective new owners would do well to look at his continued position at the club. If the new owners want a satisfied fanbase then Hollins must be the first casualty, equally the position of Mike Lewis is also one to look at, he has certainly alienated the average fan and the more fanatical of us, therefore the second major casualty. Get rid of these two, remember McLure will have gone, and new owners would have a reasonably clear run in bringing in their own new personnel.

The present playing staff needs to be 'culled' also, there weren't too many who played for their places for next season on Tuesday night. The 3rd division is ok for a sprinkling of youngsters, 1 or 2, but battle hardened pros will be required next season - having said that we should have brought some in this season instead of the french lads. Hollins has had money, but he has not spent it wisely.

Sorry John and Mike but you have to go, the fans come first and new owners will need us on their side.

Re: Frank Burrows
Is there really no one else who could do a better job with the resources available?
Honestly? I don't know about the rest of you, but a remeber a ceratin Mr Burrows who on very little money almost got us promotion to the 1st division. Not only that, he was a man of principles, leaving when promosed money not to receive it. He is the best man for the job. He can turn us around.

One thing is for sure, if he was given £25k, he would not pick rubbish from LOW or the conference. I admit, we may have not been prolofic goalscorers, but we did play good football. I would also love to see Mark Bowen come in as his assisstent to be groomed as the future manager. This is a man who I feel has a very good footballing brain and talks alot of sense.

Re: Chris from Port Talbot
Regarding who I'd have down the Vetch - Jan Molby with Dean Saunders as his right hand man. I'd like to see them there but I can't see them coming. There is though no-one else available to take the reigns of the club is there?

Re: Doom and gloom
I thought I'd let you know that the ChildLine charity shop in College Street, Swansea (opposite Baron's) is raffling a football autographed by the Swansea City team.
Anybody who fancies a chance of winning it can buy tickets from the shop.

Re: Doom and gloom
Call me a doom merchant if you like but I honestly believe that if Hollins remains with us next season along with the current owners then we will be fighting to remain in the league.
If the current situation continues then we will be in the bottom 6 next season. get lost Hollins

Re: Oxford away
Why not push the boat out Saturday-following on from Amman Travel's theme for the day-Vicars and Nuns and say a sad farewell to Div 2.The consensus of opinion is-why not, possibly take up another theme-Clowns for the day, might even be able to sneak into the team photo:-) Re Hollins out campaign,I think he has done his best but has been found out to be no tactition, unlike some of the other wiley managers in this division.Div 3 will be waiting for us, knowing Hollin's inept tactics and I reckon we will get rolled a few more times than our previous visit. Some hardy perennials are required methinks.

Hope to God that someone sorts out the takeover before the start of the campaign, the return of the 3,000 crowd week in week out may not be far away!

Re: Well I never!!
So, we went down because we didn't score enough goals, and conceded too many. Blimey Mr Hollins, is that how it works?

Well with that in mind John, here's another piece of insight which you may find useful. I'm not sure if other managers do this, so it might be just between you and the readers of the web site, call it our little secret if you like. It goes like this - on matchdays, try putting your better (I use that in it's loosest possible sense) players on the pitch, DO NOT I repeat, DO NOT keep them on the bench. That way they can influence the eventual outcome of any given fixture.

Got to go now, 'cos I gotta teach me Gran that egg-sucking thing one more time....
