Matt spent a few weeks on trial at the club at the end of last season. He obviously impressed, as Roberto Martinez offered him a two year deal during the summer. Having come from the south Wales valleys, this would seem to be an ideal opportunity for a local boy to have come back home.
A stylish midfielder, Matt will play a pivotal role in the Swans' potential success this summer. Matt is said to be particularly proud that his grandfather knew Lloyd George (and Haydn Eames).
