Swansea boss Roberto Martinez has no fresh injury concerns going into the Carling Cup clash with Hull.
Federico Bessone is again expected to be absent following the rib injury sustained in the first round clash with Brentford.
Martinez decide to rotate his squad once again.
If so strikers Guillem Bauza, a former Spanish under 20 international, and Gorka Pintado, who has made two first-team appearances since signing from Granada in the summer, could start the game.
Midfielder Jordi Gomez could make his second League Cup start after joining on a season-long loan from Espanyol.
Hull manager Phil Brown is set to make several changes to his starting line-up.
The Tigers are unbeaten in their first two games in the Barclays Premier League after an opening-day victory over Fulham and last weekend's 1-1 draw with Blackburn.
Brown will hand Dean Windass his first competitive start of the season with the veteran striker set to partner Caleb Folan in attack.
Midfielder George Boateng sat out the draw at Ewood Park with a thigh strain and Brown is unlikely to risk him ahead of their league fixture with Wigan, so Bryan Hughes will make his first appearance of the season.
Hughes is eager to force his way into Brown's Premier League plans with a standout performance.
Hughes has failed to even make the bench in either game so far as Brown has opted to use Richard Garcia or Nicky Barmby on the left flank, with Boateng, Dean Marney and Ian Ashbee having played in the centre of midfield.
But the 32-year-old is set to start at the Liberty Stadium, and Hughes believes he can give Brown a reminder of his talents ahead of the Barclays Premier League clash with Wigan.
"It is frustrating to not be playing so hopefully the Carling Cup will give one or two a chance to show the manager what they are capable of,'' Hughes said.
"So I have to look at it as an opportunity to show the boss what I can do - and hopefully give him a bit of headache over selection.
"The team is doing well after collecting four points from two games so this is an opportunity to stake a claim so I'm hoping to do well.
"I'm not really a great watcher - I'd prefer to be playing - but someone has to watch and at the moment it is me and hopefully it won't last too long.
"Obviously the demands of the Premier League is hard on everyone so that gives the manager a chance to rest one or two players.
"Of course the other players that come in have a chance to stake a claim while the lads who are rested get the chance to freshen up and get themselves ready for the Wigan game on Saturday.
"It's good that we've got a cup game and we can play one or two other players who are itching to get out there.''
