Guys, this Gorka Pintado, is he any good in the Newcastle Evening Post tonight, it says with the imminent departure of Mark Viduka, Super Kev has had his scouts watching Leon Britton and he seems to reccomend Pintado as an excellent No.9 in the Alan Shearer mould? Doubt the transfer will take place until January but rumours are it will be £1mill + fee including yougsters David Edgar and Kam Lua Lua...

A friend of mine is mates with OTJ and I can confirm he is unhappy at the Liberty, thinks he is good enough for the championship, Plymouth and Barnsley interested with bids of £150k being mentioned. RM has mentioned about playing him as a centre back but with Monk, Tate, Williams and Serran its doubtfull he would fit in there. Another player thats on the move is Andrea Orlandi to Holland side AZ for free (On thier site) coming in as replacement is a player called John Fleck, 17 year old Rangers midfielder, very promising deal includes 20% sell on and a £2million buy back price. On the keeper side, its not going to be Kasper Schemichel. Its betweem Arsenal youngster Vito Manonne or Liverpool's David Martin on loan deals although RM fancies tying up a permanant 2 year deal for Readings Adam Federici who would be available for free. He impressed in CC last year. I can see top 6 this season, depending on fitness.

I've heard a rumour that Rhyl's Lee Kendall might be signing as a back up keeper for the Swans. Despite the stigma attached to the Welsh Premier League, he is a blooming good keeper and a right character (one of those Robbie Savage types where you like him if he's on your side but hate him otherwise). Rhyl have signed Paul Pritchard (who was also linked to us three years ago) from Connah's Quay who is far too good to be a second choice at that level.

Another fact! Kris O'leary's testimonial is this sat and I hope all you true jacks are gonna turn up and support a local lad who has come through the ranks and has always been there when it matters. So many jokers have come and gone, happy to do nohing for a big wage and move on as soon as they get the chance. Loyalty is not a word that is associated with football these days but for a player who could have left at least a couple of times for double what he's earning now, his loyalty has been undivided towards the club and more so towards the fans. We all sing welsh songs on the terrace when our team is full of english, spanish, dutch, scotish and every other nationality over the years so its time to show our appreciation to a local lad who's rarely been a fans favourite but who would die for the club and bleeds Black and White! Any new player to the club only finds out what it means to wear the shirt after the first tackle in training from KOL!
I hope we can make it a day to remember for him and everyone involved with the club

the euro rules are every football stadium has to have an attendance of 30,000. i think either swansea wount have it or there will be a stand re-construcsion (about an extra 250 seats). And the council would love to have swansea host such an avent. but could we build an extra 250 seats.

The Riverside Bar will NOT be for the use of season ticket holders only next season, it will be a free-for-all bar like the 'Morfa Parc' or any other pub. As a season ticket holder, I more than a bit disappointed with this. Other than the marginal discount I get over the season for attending all the games, what are the perks for getting a season ticket? I'm sure there'll be people that will say the 'club' bar should be open for all supporters, but at this rate, the guys on the door will have clicker-counters and genuine fans (not just the 'swans game on a works do' type fans) may end up queueing outside.
I wonder if they'll do the same with the premier lounge, or are the fans with more money worth more to the club.

I said it some weeks ago, the Bodde affair should not be allowed to disrupt our preparations for the coming season and I am suprised it is taking RM so long to move him on.
The whole affair smacks of the build up last year, with Trundle's move to Bristol. Look at the season we had after that, everyone felt we were throwing away our best opportunity of promotion when he left as he was our main goal scorer.
It would be better if he didn't go to one of our opponents for the coming year, but hey, if we make a million on the deal I am sure that we can find another midfield general in his place,after all we have already brought in six new recruits for less than that already. We now need to plan around Bodde and seek solice in the fact that he will be gone before the first kick off and we will be putting out a team of eleven players hungry to take us to the next level.
Looking back to what Hull achieved and what Bristol nearly achieved last season, I think there will be more teams in the league worried about our impact than are letting on.
