During the 1930s, Swansea Town were firmly established in the Second Division, and the club and its players continued to appear on cigarette and trade cards.

Ardath featured S. Lawrence in its 1934 Famous Footballers set, while Ogden’s included Swansea Town in its colourful 1933 AFC Nicknames series. Godfrey Phillips and Churchman also issued cards featuring Swansea players later in the decade.

Unlike the extensive Pinnace releases of the early 1920s, Swansea’s appearances during this period were spread across a number of different sets, usually through individual player cards rather than full team issues.

Together with the non-tobacco cards produced during the decade, these releases carry the history of Swansea Town cards through to the final seasons before the Second World War.
